Gary Wollin

Gary has worked with Douglas Beaman and Associates since 2005, providing training in a wide variety of topics. Douglas Beaman and Associates became the Wollin Group in 2014. The majority of these classes address HVAC topics; currently he is teaching four different on-calendar HVAC classes for PG&E's Energy Center in Stockton. Topics include: Manual J Principles with Wrightsoft, Manual D Principles, Manual D with Wrightsoft and California 2008 Title 24 Change Out Rules. Other topics for other organizations include: Building Diagnostics and the entire curriculum for CHEERS Provider organization. Gary's down to earth, but organized training style lends itself perfectly to contractor training and his class evaluations reflect the participants appreciation of his skills and ability to help them understand the subject matter. Gary has helped write curriculum and develop various different classes over the years including being the lead developer for a four day residential auditing program. His HVAC knowledge, training skills, and excellent contractor relationship will all combine to enhance this program.

Other biographical information: Worked with an international organization from 1982 -2002, from 1992 in Europe primarily Hungary, trained construction methods and project planning. Trainer and project manager for 110 projects (Non Residential, including 3 projects that transitioned former military usage to civilian non-residential usage, one of those projects included residential space of ~50 apartments, commercial kitchen and dining, with laundry facilities, office spaces). Worked in El Salvador for two months training moisture and waterproofing to locals. Headed the moisture and waterproofing departments in New York for nearly 10 years, included in this was construction forensics and trouble shooting. From 2003 - 2005 ran a private company in Washington State. Micah Seierstad

Micah is the owner of NRG Solutions and NRG Calculations and has been in the energy field for 13 years in various capacities. Also experienced in public speaking on a large scale capacity. His experience includes work as a trainer for Douglas Beaman Associates and as been involved in training ACCA Manual J, Manual S and Manual D. Secondary Instructor for Title 24 Code courses. HERS Rater, NRG Solutions Conducts numerous HERS Ratings and Energy Audits for a number of clients, both residential and commercial. Title 24 Energy Consultant, NRG Calculations Works on new homes and both residential and commercial remodel projects. Construction Project Manager, (CA RBC-12) Coordination of the planning and building of Nonresidential projects from inception to completion. Involved in several nonresidential construction projects per year. Qualifications Currently holding certificates for: Building Performance Institute Auditor (BPI) CalCERTS: Home Energy Rating Systems (HERS I & HERS II)

Hans Jorda

Hans Jorda has been working in the HVAC industry for the past 30 years. He began his career as a service technician, after receiving his degree from technical college, and soon after entered the management field. As an operations manager, part of his duties included training the service, installation and sales teams. In order to keep abreast of the industry and trade technologies, he continued to earn certifications in HVAC as well as construction and energy efficiency. After leaving New England and settling in the Greater Phoenix area, Hans accepted a position with Conservation Services Group in the Home Performance Industry, where he focused on training contractors in energy efficiency remodels in the residential market. Hans recently relocated to the Southern California area to work in the technical and training arenas as he supports the air conditioning programs currently being implemented in the region.

George Kopf

George has designed and implemented trainings for more than ten years. Starting while still a student at California State University, Northridge, George designed outdoor recreation programs for special needs populations which led him to a position as a YMCA camp director. After moving to the San Francisco Bay area in 2008, George served as the Training Program Manager for Rising Sun Energy Center (a 401c non-profit) for five years. During that time, he earned his Building Performance Institute “Building Analyst” Certification and developed a green jobs training program for adults with barriers to employment.

In 2014 George was hired by CLEAResult, the largest energy efficiency consulting company in North America, as a Home Energy Advisor and Real Estate Engagement Coordinator. In less than 3 years, George developed curricula and delivered more than 65 trainings to real estate professionals.

Most recently, George has been promoted to Market Outreach Specialist where he gets to share his training experience and insight across multiple energy efficiency programs in several states.

George lives in southern California with his wife, two sons and dog.
